“Keepsake” is a response to "fast photography”, those short-lived images created to be disposed of almost instantly that ruled over the electronic media that we currently consume frenetically. Away from the generic aesthetic of mobile phone photography and the imagery dictated by algorithms, it is a visit to the basics of classic portrait photography to explore the magic relationship between model and photographer. “Keepsake” aims to remind us of the importance of human interaction in the artistic creation while underlining the importance of an almost bygone artistic genre and celebrating its validity.
